Beginning Chainmaille
Discover the versatility of chainmaille by linking colored jump rings to make 2 pairs of earrings. The techniques you’ll learn are also useful for jewelry repair. It’s a good idea to start out with this class if you’ve never done chainmaille or have limited wire experience. Advanced students are welcome to take this class, too. You’ll be able to create your own designs or follow one of the class samples using a variety of colors and sizes not used in any other chainmaille class.

as either a pendant or a holiday ornament. You can even customize
your project with colored rings. Students will complete one
piece in class and receive enough materials to make a second
project. (Many students will be able to complete both Celtic
Visions Stars in class.)Pre-requisite: Any Chainmaille class

Spiral 1
Double Spiral is a classic design--simple yet elegant. All
rings are doubled for strength and to help the weave stay properly
twisted. Students will also receive a pattern and supplies to
make "Wiggle" (Mobius), another weave in the spiral family.
These weaves are a great introduction to the chainmaille classes.
It's a good idea to start out with this class if you've never
done maille before or have limited wire experience. We'll go
over some basic ways to properly open and close jump rings,
and you'll become comfortable keeping a pair of pliers in each
hand as you weave. No experience necessary

Spiral II (aka Jens Pind - Advanced)
Jens Pind is a deceptively complicated weave. Easy to do once
you get the hang of it, but often tricky to start. You'll receive
starter pieces to learn the weave, and at the end of the class,
you can practice starting it yourself. Advanced students can
attempt to master the intricate 5-ring version of the weave
(Jens Pind Linkage 5). *Prerequisite: Any 2 chainmaille classes

Helm Chain (Beginning)
Helm Chain features orbital rings that aren't linked through
other rings, but rather are locked in place by the surrounding
rings. Learn a trick for speedweaving this pattern, and explore
ways to create intricate variations. You'll receive enough rings
to make a substantial bracelet by linking strands of Helm Chain
together. *Prerequisite: Any chainmaille class

Roundmaille (Intermediate)
This class focuses on learning Inverted Round and Roundmaille,
but you'll also get a brief introduction to two intricate variations:
Turkish Round and Captive Inverted Round. Receive a handy cheat
sheet with recommended ring sizes for most variations. *Prerequisite:
Any 2 chainmaille classes

Dragonscale (Very Advanced)
A very advanced weave, Dragonscale uses two precise sizes of
rings: the smaller rings fit exactly inside the larger ones.
Layering these rings creates a look similar to animal scales.
Dragonscale is flexible and particularly pleasing to the touch.
Learn a way to speed-weave Dragonscale, and use optional rubber
rings (already "pre-closed") to speed the process even more.
You'll learn how to permanently close this weave in on itself
for a seamless finish. *Prerequisite: Any 3 chainmaille classes
